Flowers On My Squash Today

Yeah big deal. I know all you folks back East are freezing to death and here I am posting jpg's of my Straight neck squash. That's the only advantage to living in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia, good weather. These are Summer squash that I'm growing here in the Winter. I'm gonna have some Zucchini or some fried squash in a week or two. The flower is a female for anyone who's into the sexual gender of curcubits and their flowers. If I pollinated it properly (I use Q-Tips) it should be soup in about five to ten days. I hand pollinate my flowers because wild bees are in short supply in my neighborhood and I want squash now. My buddy three blocks over is plagued with bees but I don't seem to have the same luck.
