Michelle Malkin's Bullshit Detector...

is once again hard at work. Tic... tic... tic... tic... tic...
Yikes! I do believe she's just found a large and steamy pile drawing flies at the NY Times.

Of course we're talking about the "color-coded" shopping guide the morons of the "Old Grey Bitch" released yesterday for our shopping amusement. Now just WTF were these (white) people at the NY Times thinking?

Now the Times has a "separate but equal" shopping guide for people of color. I can't wait to see the "Hits For Honkies" in their music section. My guess is it will feature Southern Rock at its finest if this is how the idiots there think. Or maybe they'll have a "Pearls Of Wisdom From South Central" section featuring rappers who advocate killing the Police and beating up on "Hoe's". It's entirely possible if you take this stunningly stupid idea to its logical conclusion. Remember; I'm using their logic, not mine.

I can remember many years ago the members of the L.A. City Council taking horrible offense at the plethora of Malt Liquor ads in South Central L.A. It seems for some reason "people of color" as the Times puts it, were being targeted by advertisers because of their drinking preferences. Is the shopping guide at the Times a parallel? Isn't targeting people because of Race by its very definition racist? Or is it just clever advertising? You can't have it both ways... or can you?

Lots of bloggers are ridiculing this ridiculous idea as "racist" and condescending. My guess is (and I don't think I'm alone here) the Times will redact this terrible and patronizing shopping guide within the next few days. Martin Luther King is rolling over in his grave in disgust. BTW, rumor has it that Dr King was a ...... Republican!

Click on the link below to Michelle Malkin's site and the story. She is far more eloquent than I, and does a wonderful job of skewing this shopping guide for "people of color". Michelle also points out the hypocrisy of the Times and their lack of "diversity" (there's the D-Word again) in their upper level management. Michelle exposes the fact that the suits running the Times are all "Crackers", uh, I meant White folks.
