Congratulations Philly

Well I guess I'll have to wait another year for a Dodger/Angel World Series. Last night the Phillie's overwhelmed the boys in blue by a 10-4 score and are headed to the Series. Congrats to Philadelphia and I'll have to see what happens tonight with the Yankees and Angels. Things are looking mighty grim.

I think there's a possibility that the a series between the Yankees and the Phillies could get rough like the Eagles vs Giants games. Maybe even as rough as Red Sox vs Yankees.

Since I'm a Left Coaster Winfred, the only great rivalry we have ever had here was the Dodgers/Giants. And that one was a holdover from the great NY teams. It seems that one is pretty much gone too.

I can remember when I was a kid the time Jaun Marichal took a bat to Johnny Roseboro. That little incident added ten year to the rivalry by itself. Nowadays there's not much to it anymore.

Now the Yankees/Red Sox looks like there's some real hate there. Goes back to Babe Ruth I guess. As far as the NFL goes I don't have a team since the Rams slid of to St Louis. John Shaw and Georgia Frontiere, Rosenbloom, whatever she ended up calling herself is a very dirty word in L.A.

I hear Schwazenegger is trying to bring Pro Football back to L.A. but it's a deal in the works. I know one thing, I don't want to pay one penny in taxes to get a team here. And neither does anyone else I know.
